Is wheatgrass juice alkaline or acidic?

Wheatgrass juice is one of the most alkaline foods known. It has been found by various studies to have higher alkalinity than most fruits and vegetables, making it a very efficient way to naturally boost the alkaline levels in our bodies to help maintain a healthy pH level.

Having an alkaline pH level in your body is vital to your wellbeing, if this gets out of line and our tissues become acidic, our major organs, digestion and skin health can suffer dramatically.

Nature has given us some of the most alkaline foods, which is why it is very easy to maintain the right pH level with a natural and (mostly)vegetarian diet.  Fruits & berries, especially raspberries, melon, strawberries, limes, lemon, pineapple are alkaline forming as are vegetables – especially the green veg, wheatgrass juice (which, is full of chlorophyll), onions, sweet potatoes, nuts and herbs.

The trouble is that if we are not eating enough alkaline-forming foods for the body to get its natural healthy pH, then the body takes the minerals from other parts of the body, such as calcium from bones, magnesium from organs etc. This of course results in a compromised immune system, colds, dull looking skin and lack of energy levels.
