What can I drink to clear my skin?

Drinking your way to better skin may be easier than it sounds. There are several things you can add to your beverage intake that can make a difference to your skin.

The first is water. All the cells in our body need water and the skin is no exception. Lack of water can result in dehydrated, wrinkly, and blemished skin. Most adults should aim to consume 2-3 litres of water per day or 8 cups. By upping your water intake, you will soon notice clearer skin that is more subtle and healthy-looking.

Green Tea:

Full of antioxidants such as polyphenols and catechins, green tea can help the skin by protecting it from free radicals. This will help to reduce puffiness and prevent infection. It also acts as an anti-inflammatory, helping to minimise flare-ups and skin ageing.

Pomegranate juice:

Full of Vitamins A, C and E pomegranate juice is great for skin health. We need Vitamin C to help boost collagen production as it helps the skin to maintain its firmness and to heal naturally. Pomegranate juice may also help to fight off bacteria and fungus on the skin which in turn could help to stave off acne outbreaks.

Kale Juice:

Rich in Vitamin A, Kale juice can help promote cell growth, which helps develop new brighter skin. Kale is an amazing anti-inflammatory and is full of beta-carotene and lutein that help to promote the repair and maintenance of the skin.

Wheatgrass juice:

Vitamin E plays an important role in the skin antioxidant defences and can protect against UV rays, pollution and free radicals that damage skin cells. It may also help to slow the production of melanin, which can cause dark spots

Our superfood juices are packed with Vitamin E, specifically our organic wheatgrass juice, which contains 145% of the RDA, and our blended green juice which has 118%. Both are fantastic ways to drink your way to healthy skin.  Adding this to your diet can help prevent premature ageing and create clear glowing skin.

Turmeric juice:

Known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, curcumin a component of turmeric has been shown to reduce the severity of acne.

Adding this to your diet can make a huge difference to your skin.

All our superfood juices can contribute to healthy skin on their own but can be even more effective when combined. They are perfectly balanced nutritionally to complement each other, so you can mix and match to suits your own individual needs and health goals.
